# File-based import

Support for CSV, XLSX, PPTX, DOCX, XLIFF and more

File-based import covers everything that does not run through a connector. It is the default route when your data lives in a system Newtone does not integrate with directly, when a one-off job does not justify wiring anything up, or when the content is a document rather than a catalog.

## Supported file formats 

We are currently supporting the following file formats:

   5. XLIFF / XLF
